Our lessons are 60 minutes long. Students begin with an introductory activity to get them engaged and tuned in for the upcoming lesson. The rest of the lesson is divided into a few parts of teaching time & activity time, leaving some time for individual or guided practice at the end. Students will also get a short homework sheet called “Whizzarding Practice” at the end. This will consist of 6 questions. Students are meant to independently complete one question a day (5-10 minutes) at home so as to reinforce the concept covered with adequate practice and exposure.
The Pre-Assessment is to be done with the child before lessons formally begin. The Pre-Assessment is unique to Math Whizzards and is a specially crafted assessment of all the topics your child has been exposed to at his/her grade level. This will allow us to ascertain the level your child is learning at for various topics, the areas which are a strength, those that need to be challenged, as well as the areas which need to be converted to a strength. This will be reflected in the personalised lesson plan for your child.
